Explain giving reason why carbon neither forms c4+ positive cations and c4- negative anions but forms covalent compounds which are bad conductor of electricity and have low melting and boiling point

Because it is difficult to hold for extra electrons and would required large amount of energy to remove for extra electrons

AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE
=======================
CARBON NEITHER FORM C4+ OR C 4-
BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING REASONS...
=======================================

1⃣BECAUSE IT REQUIRES A HIGH ENERGY TO MAKE C4- OR C4+

2⃣BECAUSE THE ATOMIC NUMBER OF CARBON IS 6 SO THAT IF IT GAIN ELECTRON THAN ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO HOLD 10 ELECTRON IN ITS ORBIT.

=======================================

✌THESE ARE BAD CONDUCTOR BECAUSE OF LACK OF ELECTRON IN COVALENT BONDING OF CARBON.

=======================================

✌ITS LOW MELTING AND BOILING POINT IS DUE TO WEAK FORCES OF ATTRACTION IN THE COVALENT BONDING OF CARBON
