Green Revolution played a very important role in increasing agricultural production. The green revolution consisted of using high yielding seeds, particularly of wheat, and the spread of irrigation. This happened particualrly in Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh. The use of high yielding seeds and spread of irrigation increased agricultural production a lot.
