For current flowing through resistance,

Power loss take place in form of heat loss energy

E = P*t

P= Power generate by flowing current

P = V I

And voltage V = I*R

So , put all the value in first equation

E= I*R*I*t

E= I^2Rt

This is heat loss energy so,

H= I^2Rt
