Iron rim is slightly smaller in size. This rim is then heated and the rim expands. This rim is now put around the wooden wheel. After that some water is poured over it to cool down the iron. After cooling down, iron rim shrinks and fixes around the wooden wheel.
CHANGES TAKE PLACE DURING THIS PROCESS
1.Objects become hot on heating and contract on cooling.In the above process we have studied that iron rim expands on heating and on cooling the hot iron rim contracts.
