Explain how an iron rim is fixed over a wooden wheel. Which type of change is associated with this activity?

The iron is first heated so as to expand it. After that, the wooden wheel is put and very cold water is put on the iron to cool it. After cooling, it contract with the wooden wheel.
This is known as physical change.
