the Galvanometer can be converted into ammeter by connecting a small resistance in parallel with the Galvanometer called shunt resistance here the shunt resistance is the small resistance which connected in parallel with the Galvanometer to convert it into an ammeter of a given range the importance of the ammeter is to measure the electric current
