Explain how does nervous tissue cause action

NERVOUS TISSUE has an ability to generate an electrical impulse in response to stimuli and to rapidly transmit the electrical impulse from the site of the origin along their length in a particular direction. Due to electrical impulse's they give message to brain and then cause action.

The terminal branches in the axon and dendrites releases the chemical secretions which are called as neurotransmitters in the synapse. The nerve tissues help in detecting the stimuli from internal and external environment
