The primary transcript (hn RNA) contain both exons and introns and required to be processed before translationally active (mRNA). The introns are removed and exons arejoined in a defined order. ... The processed hnRNA is now called mRNAand transported out of the nucleus for translation.

Answer:

The hnRNA undergoes the following processes to form mRNA:

(i) Capping: Addition of methyl guanosine triphosphate at 5'-end.

(ii) Tailing: Addition of 200-300 adenylate residues at 3'-end.

(iii) Splicing: Removal of introns and joining of exons.
