H. J. MOSELEY divided elements based on their atomic numbers. He prepared a table of classification of elements called MODERN PERIODIC TABLE.The modern periodic law is stated as THE PROPERTIES OF THE ELEMENTS ARE PERIODIC FUNCTIONS OF THEIR ATOMIC NUMBERS. He divided elements in to 18 groups which are represented by Roman numerals and 7 periods which are represented by Arabic numerals.
