Manure is prepared in fields. Fertiliser is prepared in factories. Manure provides humus to the soil. Whereas fertilizer does not provide any humus to the soil. Manure is not readily soluble in water and is needed in large quantities. Fertilizer is soluble in water and is needed in small quantity. Manure is slowly absorbed by plants. Fertilizer is quickly absorbed by plants.
