Flora and fauna are originated from Latin that is Flora means the goddess of the flower and Fauna refers to the goddess of fertility. There are many ways how Flora and Fauna help in maintaining ecosystem. Few are listed below.
- Herbivorous animals eat plants and carnivorous animals eat these herbivorous animals. when these carnivorous animals die they decompose and become manure to plants. This is a continuous cycle.
- The plants generates and releases oxygen, which is needed by the animals(including humans) for breathing. In return, the animals produces and releases carbon dioxide, which is needed by the animals for photosynthesis.
