Explanation:

Trees and Plants absorb water from earth through the roots. This water goes back into the atmosphere through transpiration(evaporation of water through leaves). This water vapour later leads to rain. If plants and trees are cut, then less water will evaporate in the atmosphere, which leads to reduced rainfall.
