permanent winds are winds that blow between the major pressure belts of the world .permanent winds are also known as prevailing winds or planetary winds .they are called permanent winds because they blow throughout the year ,constantly ,in the same direction .they are of three types :-

1. The trade winds.

2.The westerlies winds.

3.The polar winds .
