Heavy rains can cause flood mainly due to improper drainage system.

1) In villages, flood may occur due to overflowing of the rivers.

2) In cities, flood may occur due to ill planning of the town and drainage system.

3) Animals can be effected as seen in the Kaziranga National Park. Death of many animals also occur.

4) Floods cause havoc each year and so proper planning of towns and cities and villages must be done with proper drainage system wherever required.
