Hi friend ,
The outer ear called 'pinna' collects the sound vibrations . These vibrations are then carried to the eardrum or the tymaanuc membrane through the auditory canal. Due to a series of compression and rarefaction the eardrum moves inward and outward because if which it creates the eardrum to vibrate. In the middle ear these vibrations are amplified several times into pressure variations by the three no es present in the middle ear( hammer, anvil, stirrup). Then these pressure variations gets converted into electrical signals by the cochlea . Once these variations gets converted into electrical signals they are arrived to brain by the auditory nerve and the brain interprets it as sound and responds to it.
