Benefit for deep sea divers if humans had gills:

Deep sea divers are people who go inside the deep sea to interact with environment under the water surface. It is obvious fact that human needs oxygen for respiration. For this reason only people climbing high altitudes and going in deep water carry oxygen along with them in the form of small portable tanks.  

Fish are water lovers because they have a specialized organ called gills through which they respire. The gills take in the oxygen dissolved in the water and sweeps out carbon-di-oxide out into the water. If humans had this organ they can easily go inside the water and stay for more time as gills will act as organ for respiration for them.
