Explain how our eyes can see the distant as well as the nearby objects with almost the same clarity.

Focal length of eye lens is adjusted automatically by the action of ciliary muscles such that a sharp images of the object at different positions from the eye are formed on retina and hence we can see near by and distant objects clearly
