Ozone is made up of 3-oxygen molecules. Ozone present in the atmosphere prevents the harmful UV rays from the Sun to fall in Earth.

Ozone is created by sunlight which breaks up the oxygen present in the atmosphere into two atoms and those two atoms merge with the existing oxygen atoms to form ozone.
