When water enters to the cell in counter to the hypotonic solution, it regulates the osmotic pressure, so to counter it a cytoplasmic pressure develops known as turgor pressure on the cell wall. Turgor pressure develops with the developing turgidity within the cell. Turgor pressure flexs the cell wall with help of microfilaments in the cytoplasm. Thus, tugor pressure save the cells from bursting by acting against the elastic cell wall.
