Hi friends

Soil is the thin layer of material covering the earth surface and is formed from the weathering of rocks.

It is made up of mainly of mineral particles, organic particles, air, water and living organisms-all of which interact slowly yet.

Answer:

Soil is a mixture of rocks and minerals and thereby gets formed slowly over the years by the weathering of parent rocks by several agents which may be physical, chemical or biological. Examples of such agents are wind( physical), acids from rain( chemical) and microorganisms( biological).

Weathering of rocks brings about disintegration which changes its composition and integration and thereby the particles of rocks along with the minerals mixes up with other such particles thereby forming the soil on the surface of the Earth.
