1. MORE WORKERS THAN DEMAND :There was an abundance of workers in the market. Due ti shortage of work ,most of them faied to get jobs.
2. SEASONALITY OF WORK:It meant prolonged periods without work. Some returned to the countryside after winter.
3.LOW REAL WAGES:Though the wages increased somewhat in early 19 century but it was nullified by increase in prices.
4.POVERTY AND UNEMPLOYMENT:At the mid of 19 century ,about 10percent of urban population was extremly poor. The unemployment rate was very high.
