Answer:

All the elements are classified into s,p,d and f on the basis of presences of last electron for example if last electron of elements falls in the s orbital then the element will be placed in s blocks .This kind of classification makes the study easier

I hope you will understand ❤

The elements are classified into blocks in the periodic table:  S,P,D,F blocks.

The advantage of this kind of classification:

1] S blocks : The differenating electron enters into S-orbital is called S blocks. It contains two groups 1A , 2A.  1A group are called alkali metals. 2A group are called alkali earth metals.

2] P blocks :    The differenating electron enters into P-orbital is called P blocks.  it contains six groups 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 8A.  it contains metals, non- metals.

    3] D blocks :    The differenating electron enters into D-orbital is called D blocks.  It contains ten groups  3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B, 8B, 1A, 2A.

    4] F blocks :  The differenating electron enters into F-orbital is called F blocks. it contains 2 series 1] 4f- ce - le. 2] 5f -th- lr.
