Explain how the energy is conserved in the case
of a body executing circular motion in a vertical plane. If the speed of the body at the highest point is 3 m s-1, find its speed at the lowest point
when the radius of the circular path is 1 m. (Take g =10 m s-2). The question is from IIT foundation class 9 physics

Answer:

Explanation:

BY CONSERVATION OF MECHANICAL ENERGY

1/2mv^2-1/2mu^2 = -2mgr

v^2-u^2 = -4gr

9-u^2 = -40

u^2=49

u=7m/s
