The development of cotton industries in britian affect textile producers in india in several ways;
1) Indian textile now had to compete with British textile in the European and American markets .
2) Exporting textiles to england also became increasingly difficult since very high duties were imposed on indian textiles imported into Britain..
3 it was very difficult to compete with the cheap textiles factory industry in india faced many problems

Indian craftsmen worked and developed under the Indian rulers and nobles.With the coming of British and foreign powers in India,India rulers lost there power and Indian craftsmen lost out in the markets.There were many policies of the British that affected India not only in Craft but also in trade in foreign markets.
