Explain how the mass and average density of the earth can be estimated from the knowledge of G.

F=GMm/R2
similarly F= mg
on equating... mg=GMm/R2
ie. M=gR2/G.... all the values are known....
but M= 4/3piR3d (volume of sphere)
thus on euqting...d=3g/4piRG....hope u got it

 knew the mass of the Earth in grams is 5.979 × 1027. Also, the radius in centimeters is 6.3713 × 108. I plugged this information into the 4/3πr3 formula in order to find the volume. I got the answer 1.084227366 × 1027 cm3. I then divided the volume into the mass and got 5.519 g/cm3 as the density of the Earth. is the answer....
