Though not fully but to a large extent the people of India have shown wisdom and enlightened behavior in elections over the years. The people now vote for change and development.

The people now vote for good education, healthcare, better sanitation and employment rather than religion, dynasty and regionalism. The better economic conditions and political awareness made people good voters and thus they showed wisdom and enlightened behavior in elections.

Explanation:

Indian voters are often the most curious lot that we find here. on the one hand, they can dismiss a political party right at one moment, and at another time, they can cast their votes most wisely. they have shown extreme prudence in many cases while casting their votes. they have been unbiased, behaved secular and they also have the right justifications why they chose a ruler.  they have chosen a person based on the work that he or she has actually done and modern voters are more intelligent in casting their votes.
