Optical Fiber. Total internal reflection is a powerful tool since it can be used to confine light. ... If light is incident on a cable end with an angle of incidence greater than the critical angle then the light will remain trapped inside the glass strand.

Answer:
As we know the light is transmitted as radiation with a certain velocity whose value depends on the type of the medium through which the transmission occurs, in fibre optics light transmits in the form of shafts, and in order that the light is completely reflected, the incident angle should be lesser than the critical angle so that nonstop reflections would be on the wall of the cladding inside the fibre optics.
This depends on a physical miracle called the miracle of total internal reflection, the shaft that enters the fibre with an angle lower than the acceptance angle is reflected in an angle so that when the incident angle is changed the exit angle will also be changed.
When the incident angle is changed, a relegation will take place; this relegation affects the value of the exit angle, in such a case there will be a difference between the point of prevalence and the point of refraction, and this difference will lead to friction in the distance and the appearance time at the endpoint which is a suggestion of acceleration in the speed of light.
