If the surface is shiny such as a metallic surface, then such surface absorb radiation slowly rather they reflect more.

Similarly, if we have a white colored surface, it will also absorb least amount of raidation.

In contrast, if we have a black colored surface, then this would emit as well as absorb radiation more effectively
