have hair like tiny structure . so, pollen grains of same species get attached to the sticky surface of the stigma . after that pollen pistil interaction takes place to go further for the formation of pollen tube  for moment of both generative and vegetative nucleus for fertilization and for the formation of Endosperm which provide nutrition to developing zygote.
