Answer:

Here is your answer !

Explanation:

Hydrilla experiment is performed to show that oxygen is produced during the process of photosynthesis.

Aim : to demonstrate that oxygen is produced during the process of photosynthesis.

Apparatus : place the things according to the hydrilla experiment .

Material required : hydrilla plant , test tube , barker, water , funnel.

Procedure : 1 .Arrange the apparatus as shown in the figure .2. place the plant in the beaker containin water and cover these by A short stemmed funnel .3. invert a test tube filled with water over the stem of the funnel .ensure that the level of stem of the funnel is inverted .

4. place the apparatus in the sublight for at least 3 days .

Precautions : it should be kept in the sunlight .the level of water in the beaker should be over the level of stem of the funnel. while removing test tube to prevent escape of gas evolved and remove gently .

Observation : you will notice that in the place of water gas is filled . test the gas in the test tube by inserting a glowing stick which would burst into flames .

Influence : presence of bubbles in the test tube shows that oxygen is produced during the process of photosynthesis.

Hope this answer helps you !

Hydrilla Experiment.

  • Hydrilla experiment is done to prove that oxygen is necessary for photosynthesis.
  • Hydrilla is a small plant and hence it is easy to handle them also they are also aquatic plant so it is able to breathe in water whereas land plants are not.
  • With hydrilla, it is easy to set up the experiment.
  • Hydrillas do not have any stomata since they are aquatic there and there is no exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide like land-based plants.
  • The exchange of gases takes place involving the entire source of the body there it becomes easy to see bubbles being released.
  • In the hydrilla experiment, the presence of bubbles in the test tube shows that oxygen is produced during the process of photosynthesis.
