HYDROGEN is not used as a fuel even though it has the highest clarofic value for the following points:-

It is lighter than air and thus it is not easily available.
it is flammable and burns very rapidly.
it cannot be used in liquid form bcoz it melting point is -253 degree C.
it cannot b transported easily.
Hydrogen gas leaking into external air may spontaneously ignite.
Moreover, hydrogen fire, while being extremely hot, is almost invisible, and thus can lead to accidental burns
Hydrogen poses unique challenges due to its ease of leaking, low-energyignition, wide range of combustible fuel-air mixtures, buoyancy, and its ability toembrittle metals
