if a unsaturated vegetable oil gets converted into saturated vegetable ghee by the the reaction of hydrogen in presence of nickel or pladdium catalyst is called hydrogenation of oil

vegetable oil+H2(IN PRESENCE OF NICKEL CATALYST)---vegetable ghee
