Answer:

Hyperconjugation is the stabilising interaction that results from the interaction of the electrons in a σ-bond (usually C-H or C-C) with an adjacent empty or partially filled p-orbital or a π-orbital to give an extended molecular orbital that increases the stability of the system.

Answer:

In hyperconjugation, C—H σ bonds break to conjugate with nearby empty p-orbitals.

It is different from resonance because in resonance σ bonds are not broken.

Since in hyperconjugation σ bonds break, it is weaker than resonance (mesomeric) effect and is called no-bond resonance.
