Image formed by a convex mirror are diminished, virtual and erect.
Explanation:
Convex mirror has the reflecting surface curved outwards, and it diverges the light rays that fall on it. So the image formed on a convex mirror is virtual, smaller than the object, and erect. Convex mirror is mainly used as rear view mirror in vehicles.
When the object is at the infinite distance, a pint-sized image is formed at the focal point of the mirror behind the convex mirror.
When the object is between infinity and pole of a convex mirror, we get a diminished, virtual and erect image between pole and focus behind the mirror. This is generally the situation most used.
