Answer:

i guess spelling mistake.

A polynomial is an expression consisting of variables (also called indeterminate) and coefficients, that involves only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative integer exponents of variables.

Polynomials appear in many areas of mathematics and science. For example, they are used to form polynomial equations, which encode a wide range of problems, from elementary word problems to complicated scientific problems; they are used to define polynomial functions, which appear in settings ranging from basic chemistry and physics to economics and social science; they are used in calculus and numerical analysis to approximate other functions. In advanced mathematics, polynomials are used to construct polynomial rings and algebraic varieties, central concepts in algebra and algebraic geometry.

Polynomials

Polynomials are the algebraic expressions which consist of variables and coefficients. Variables are also sometimes called indeterminates. We can perform the arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and also positive integer exponents for polynomial expressions but not division by variable. An example of a polynomial with one variable is x2+x-12. In this example, there are three terms: x2, x and -12.

The word polynomial is derived from the Greek words’ poly’ means ‘many’ and ‘nominal’ means ‘terms’, so altogether it said “many terms”. A polynomial can have any number of terms but not infinite. Learn about degree, terms, types, properties, polynomial functions in this article.
