Explain in brief about the properties of magnetic field lines ?

Magnetic field lines originate from the North pole and terminate at the south pole outside the magnet, and vice verse, inside it. The magnetic field lines are closed loops and continuous at all points. Magnetic field lines can be detected by spreading iron filings around a magnet. The field lines theoretical extend till infinity, getting less denser, moving further away from the magnet.
