The usage of drugs to perform efficiently in sports does not only make the sportsperson to be banned but also creates many side-effects. Compared to the side effects, the benefits obtained by the usage of the drugs are minute.  

The steroids result in serious physical side-effects like the development of breasts, infertility and enlargement of the prostate gland in men. The women may develop an irreversible deeper voice and enlarged clitoris, baldness and infrequency in periods.
