Khadin is an ingenious traditional method of conserving water from the surface run off in agricultural fields. It allows maximum water to retained in the saturated agricultural fields and prevents washing away of top soil. An earthen wall is made as an embankment in the downhill area. It is provided with doors for release of excess water in flood situation.
