Answer:

Parliament is constituted of two houses .First is Lok Sabha and Second one is Rajya Sabha. Members of Lok Sabha are elected by general elections. For Rajya Sabha, members are elected by state legislative assemblies. In Lok Sabha, number of members is 543 and 2 are nominated by president who are anglo indians, however, maximum capacity of Lok sabha is 552.The tenure of the members of Lok sabha is 5 years that's why it is known as temporary house. But in Rajya Sabha, the number of members in current time is 245 among which 233 are elected by legislative assemblies of states and 12 are nominated by president whereas the maximum number of members can be 250.The tenure of the members of this house is 6 years that's why it is known as Permanent house. The important thing to be noted that 1/3 members of Rajya Sabha are retired after every 2 years.
