Intensive systems require a high level of technical and management skills, which enable roughly five  fish grow together in one fish pond. Fishes with different food habits are selected, so they do not compete for food among them.

Example, Catla feeds on the surface of the water, Rohu is the middle zone feeder, Mrigal and Common carp are feeders down and Feed wheat grass on the grass. This ensures the full use of food sources in the pond
