explain:It may happen that the displacement of a body is zero though the distance travelled is not zero?

Distance is the path Length travelling by the body.
Displacement is the distance between intial and final point.

Suppose a body starts from a point A and returns after travelling 500 kms to the same point.

this distance here is 500 km. But displacement is zero.

if a body starts moving from point a and it comes back rob point in the same path then the displacement is zero but the distance traveled is not zero
