Explanation :

★ Kinetic friction, also known as sliding friction or moving friction, is the amount of retarding force between two objects that are moving relative to each other.

★ The normal force is the amount of force perpendicular to the surfaces that are in contact, or the force holding the objects together.

★ It always acts in a direction opposite to the direction of relative motion between two surfaces in contact.

★ This force does not depend on contact area.

Magnitude of kinetic friction is proportional to the normal contact force between two surfaces in contact.
