Magnetic flux is defined as the number of magnetic lines of force passing through a surface normally, that is perpendicular to the surface.

no. of magnetic field lines passing through a surface such as loop of wire. the magnetic flux through a closed surface is always 0....... the SI unit of it is Weber (Wb).
