it is a theoretical expression given by Einstein.
Theory of relativity it is also known to be.
E refers to energy
m refers to mass
and c refers to speed of the light
this may be probably true

So, This equation was derived directly from einstein's special theory of relativity.
Since acc to it
The equation states that mass and energy are the same thing and tells you how much energy is contained inside a certain amount of mass. Essentially, the equation explains that a small amount of mass is full of a large amount of energy.
Like energy, mass can neither be created nor destroyed, but it can also change form. For example, an ice cube can melt into a liquid, but it still has the same mass in both states.
And energy changes form to that's the equation just relates both quantites and we can simply say that any mass in this world can be converted into energy and that will be that mass x speed of light and this shows how many times energy even a small mass can produce.
Example : - human body
M = 50 kg (say)
E = 50 x 3 x 10 ^2 = 1. 5 x 10^4
So u can see this much energy a human body can produce until the whole is converted in to energy.
Hope this help u understand if u still have problems ask me in comment : )
