The gram molecular mass of CuSO₄.5H₂O is 249.5 grams(1mole)

In it there are 5 molecules of water weighing 90 grams.

Now,
499 grams of CuSO₄.5H₂O indicates 2 moles of it.

so the mass of water present = 90 x 2 = 180 grams

fbm: thanks
siril: did u get it
fbm: yea but how does 499 gm of cuso4.5h20 contains 2 mole of oxygen
siril: not 2 moles of oxygen....
siril: number of moles in 499 grams = 499/249.5 = 2
siril: it is the number of moles of CuSO4.5H2O
fbm: oh means 2 moles of cuso4.5h20
fbm: i understood
fbm: ty again
siril: welcome
