Answer:

Spore formation is the method of asexual reproduction which occurs commonly in fungi (e. g.,bread mould) and bacteria. Each spore is a tiny, spherical body covered by a hard protective coat to withstand unfavorable conditions such as high temperature and low humidity,so that it can survive for a long time. Under favourable conditions, a spore germinates and develops into a new individual. When the spores are released, they keep floating in the air. Since they are tiny and very light, they can cover long distances and remain suspended in the air for a long time. Bread mould that can often be seen growing on moist, state bread, grows when spores settle on the bread.
