Here is your ÃnSwer..

So, thé answer is.. : The mole is the unit of amount in chemistry. ... It is defined as the amount of a chemical substance that contains as many representative particles, e.g., atoms, molecules, ions, electrons, or photons, as there are atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12 (12C), the isotope of carbon with relative atomic mass 12 bydefinition.

MOLE CONCEPT
===============

1) no of moles= mass given /molar mass

Ex:- find no.of moles in 32g of methane ( c=12,H=1)

molar mass of methane=12+1*4=16

no.of moles =32/16=2

formula no.2)
===========

no.of moles=volume given(STP)/ molar volume (22.4L=22.4dm3)

Ex:- find volume of 3moles of carbon dioxide????????

solution:- x/22.4=3

x=67.2 STP
