Heya...

when hydrochloric acid reacts with magnesium,
it produces magnesium chloride with evolution of hydrogen gas...

the chemical equation will be-

Mg + 2HCl -------> MgCl2+ H2

this reaction can be also called as redox reaction becase both oxidation and reduction that is loss and gain of electrons take place

hope helped..
