explain me why space is black even there is sun!?

when you through up a torch in the sky your torch did not show any light but when you put your hand in front of it then your hand got light up and then you can know that yeah there is a light this is bc of light needs a matter to reflect it has bee clear bc we do not see light we see the reflaction of light on the objects bc if we could see the light then the rays would be in all over the area and we would not be able to see anything other than the rays of the light hence there is nothing in space but there is ether in space which allows the light to travel ether is like air in earth we have air which allows light to travel as the ether do in the space but we can see the planets in space bc of reflection they reflect the light and that is the basic reason why black hole can not be seen bc black holes can't reflect the light black hole absorbs the light
