Meiosis: a special type of division in which chromosomes duplicate only once, but cell divides twice. So one parental cell produces four daughter cells. Mitosis: it is a type of division in which a single parent cell divides into two equal number of same chromosomes at equitorial plane.

Mitosis:-

The Mitosis is a part of the cell cycle. The replicated chromosomes in Mitosis is divided into two new cells. They are formed in the same kind as of the parent nucleus. This is a process of asexual reproduction, this reproduction takes place in unicellular organisms.

Meiosis:-

The Meiosis is a type of cell division which gets divided twice in an order to produce four cells. The maternal and paternal chromosomes will get mixed up during the first division. This is a process of sexual reproduction.
